1. Personalized Support: Supervised Counselling Sessions (SCS)

SCS aims to provide effective oversight of student study and activity time. The main idea is that teachers are always available to help and guide students when they encounter challenges.

Definition: SCS organizes and oversees students’ silent study and lab activities.
Teacher Role: Teachers are ready to assist students whenever asked.
SCS Plans: To ensure effective study time, SCS includes various organizational plans:

2. Specialized Curriculum Programs

A. Science Trajectories (Grades VI to VIII)

Oakley offers Science Trajectories, an interactive, standards-based science curriculum. Middle school science includes three standards-based courses and a supplemental course, ensuring hands-on learning:

Oakley – Young Scientist: Focuses on exploration through hands-on activities and experiments. Students enjoyed growing crystals, exploring magnetism, and extracting DNA from spinach leaves.
Oakley – Earth & Space: Provides knowledge about Earth’s structure, geologic processes, oceans, weather, climate, our solar system, stars, and galaxies.
Oakley – Life: Studies living things, including plant and animal cell structures, unicellular and multicellular life, genetics, and the classification of organisms.
Oakley – Physics: Covers concepts from chemistry and physics, such as physical and chemical changes, atoms, elements, the periodic table, states of matter, motion, gravity, energy, and heat.

B. Converse E+ (Fluency: The Priceless Skill)

Converse E+ is a unique course that helps English learners become fluent, enabling them to speak English confidently without stopping to think about rules or translations.

Program Goal: Offers the best methods, materials, study plans, and feedback to help students speak English with confidence.
Language Regiments: To promote the Communicative Approach to English, student groups called ‘Language Regiments’ form based on a screening test. These groups maintain language discipline throughout the school.
E-Festivals: Awareness events, called E-Festivals, feature various language activities like elocution, debate, storytelling, and recitations.

C. MILE (Mathematics Initiative for Learning Enhancement)

MILE is Oakley’s Conceptual Math curriculum.

Program Goal: The MILE curriculum exceeds national standards. It uses research-based teaching methods, successful experiences from specialized faculty, and global best practices, showing that math is essential in every part of education.
